How it works

1With the unit de-energised, the function and input polarity are selected with the side DIP switch.
2With PROG and RUN together the scale factor, decimal point and, if the mode requires it, the output times are programmed; with PROG, the presets.
3When the count reaches a preset its output (F or L) switches on, latched or timed according to the DIP switch.
4Each pulse is multiplied by the scale factor: the display shows the quantity directly (m, l, pieces) and the count can go up or down.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need a power supply for the sensor?

No. It has a 12 VDC 50 mA supply on terminals 1 (+) and 3 (−) of the XCEU522; if the load is exceeded OVERLOAD is shown.

What is the scale factor for?

To read directly in the unit you need: for example, metres of material or litres from a flow meter, instead of pulses.

What is the difference between XCEU522 and XCEC522?

The same functions: the XCEU522 connects on an 11-pin socket and the XCEC522 has plug-in connectors.
