How it works

1The PD or ON-OFF function is selected with the switch at the bottom of the front.
2The setpoint temperature is set with the dial.
3In PD, when approaching the setpoint the unit enters the proportional band (1 to 8 degrees) and modulates the output to avoid overshoot.
4In ON-OFF, the output switches on and off around the setpoint with the set hysteresis (1 to 8 degrees).

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between PD and ON-OFF?

In ON-OFF the output switches on and off with a hysteresis; in PD the output is modulated within a proportional band and the temperature fluctuates less around the setpoint.

What happens if the sensor breaks?

The controller is protected against sensor break.

Which ranges are available?

The XCT100 is made with a full scale of 100 · 150 · 200 · 300 °C, depending on the model.
