How it works

1The three phases of the line feeding the motor are connected: the unit is powered from them, between 205 and 480 VAC.
2With all phases present and in the correct sequence, the output allows operation.
3On phase reversal or phase loss, the output cuts off operation without delay.
4This prevents a three-phase motor from running backwards or starting on two phases.

Does it need an auxiliary supply?

No. It is powered from the monitored phases themselves, from 205 to 480 VAC, without neutral.

Does it detect a regenerated phase?

Yes, it detects regenerated phases up to 85 % of the rated voltage.

What is the difference between ZCFF01, ZCFF02A and ZCFF02B?

The operation delay when a fault is detected: the ZCFF01 acts without delay, the ZCFF02A after 0.5 s and the ZCFF02B after 1 s. The delay avoids tripping on micro-interruptions.
