How it works

1The winding PTC thermistors are connected to terminals Y1-Y2.
2On power-up, if the temperature is below the PTC rated value, the output switches on and the motor can run.
3When the temperature exceeds the rated value, the output switches off and stops the motor.
4If the sensor breaks, the output stays off.

How many PTCs can be connected?

Several in series, as long as they do not exceed 1500 Ω at an ambient temperature of 20 °C.

What happens if the sensor breaks?

The output stays off: the motor cannot run without protection.
